Move Your EVA Terminal From One Device To Another

Introduction

The following document describes how to remove your EVA Cloud terminal software from one device so you can reuse your EVA Cloud terminal on another device. This is helpful if you are replacing your faulty kiosk hardware or upgrading.


How to remove the existing EVA Cloud Terminal?

EVA Cloud Visitor Management system remembers the last device and browser that hosted this software and will actively refuse to be implemented on another device or browser. To allow the move there are two requirements.

Requirement 1: The browser the terminal was running on needs to be closed. 

Requirement 2: The terminal needs to be reset from the EVA Admin Console

To do this:

Step 1: Log into the EVA Admin Console here https://my.evareceptionist.com

Step 2: Right away you should see your active sites and terminals in use. Click on your desired terminal.

Step 3: Click on Reset Terminal and your EVA subscription will forget your device and browser ready to be re-implemented elsewhere.

How to re-purpose the now free EVA Cloud Terminal?

Step 1: Log into the EVA Admin Console here https://my.evareceptionist.com

Step 2: Right away you should see your active sites and terminals in use. Click on your desired terminal.

Step 3: Note the Terminal ID and Authentication Token

 
 

Step 4: On your new device or browser intended to run the EVA Cloud Terminal, open https://my.evareceptionist.com/client

Step 5: Enter your Terminal ID and Authentication Token
